What is a bail bond?
A bail bond is a way to help secure someone's release from jail while their case is pending, through a licensed bail agency rather than paying the full bail amount directly to the court.
Do you serve my county?
BondTx currently provides direct bail bond service in 14 Texas counties, all outside County Bail Bond Board jurisdiction: Morris, Cass, Sabine, Marion, and Van Zandt (East Texas — 903-444-9030), plus Cooke, Clay, Archer, Rains, Blanco, Falls, Gillespie, Lavaca, and Montague (214-444-6020). BondTx does not hold a Bail Bond Board license and is not a licensed surety in counties with a Bail Bond Board. In additional counties, BondTx may be able to assist through insurance affiliates, subject to confirmation of an authorized local provider. See our full service area list. What information do you need from me?
At minimum, the defendant's name and where they're being held. Additional details like a booking number, charges, and your relationship to the defendant help speed things up — see our Before You Call checklist. If you don't have everything, call anyway.
Can I complete the process entirely online?
In many cases, key steps like intake, document exchange, and communication can happen remotely. Some bonds or jurisdictions still require an in-person step, an original document, or a jail/county procedure — we'll always tell you clearly when that applies. See Start Online for details.
How long will it take to get someone released?
We never promise a release time. Jail processing and release timing are controlled by the applicable facility and other factors outside BondTx's control. We'll tell you honestly what we know and keep you updated.
Is my information secure?
We use appropriate access controls and secure handling for information and documents collected as part of the bond process. We do not collect sensitive identification, payment, or confidential documents through an unsecured, ordinary contact form.
Do you provide legal advice?
No. BondTx provides bail bond assistance, not legal representation or legal advice. For legal questions about a case, please consult a licensed attorney.
